Yet another blog?

The world is full of bloggers, facebookers and tweeters. Frankly I find it all a bit annoying. I don't really care about other peoples opinions and I feel a bit nervous about personal information being out there on the web forever. I left Facebook once only to be cajoled into rejoining by numerous virtual (and real) acquaintances....

So why have started a blog? Lord only knows... I suppose at almost 40 I'm attempting to get a grip on this new-fangled 'multi-platform' world. I work in television you see. Broadcast TV is just about getting to grips with the fact that things like Facebook exist. The BBC is well ahead of the curve on this but the advertiser driven channels, like the one I work for, haven't really got a clue. There's no revenue generation for them you see. But that's another story and I had better not get into a rant, I'm sure there will be more of those than you can handle over the future of this blog....

The purpose of digitally spilling my thoughts out into an indifferent world is to practice writing, formulate and formalise ideas that have been swirling around in my head for a while and to write about the things I love and, occasionally, the things I don't. If you've found this blog randomly; welcome. I'll try not to bore you.
